FUN TRIVIA:
Triskele or Triskellion – (meaning “three legs”, is a complex ancient Celtic symbol).
Its earliest creation dates back to the Neolithic era, at the entrance of Newgrange, Ireland, gaining popularity within the Celtic culture from 500 BC onwards. This archaic symbol is hard to decipher and many new age people think it represents something in ancient times. What we do know is that 3 arms or legs represented motion moving outwards from its centre or origin. A journey but also movement, or motion, signify energies going out affecting others. Celtic action, cycles, progress, revolution and competition. Secondly, is the exact symbolic significance of the three arms of the triskele can differ dependent on the era, culture, and their own mythology and history, which is why there are so many variations as to what these could mean. Some of the more ancient ones are life-death-rebirth and past-present-future. I prefer the latter.
